Bamburgh Capital advises Soben in sale to Accenture

Global professional services leader Accenture has acquired Soben, an international provider of construction consultancy services, headquartered in Glasgow, Scotland.

Soben’s expertise in data centre development and the pharmaceutical and energy industries will boost Accenture’s Infrastructure & Capital Projects capabilities in advisory as well as project, cost and commercial management for clients.

Bamburgh Capital is pleased to announce that it has provided corporate finance advisory services to Soben, helping the founders explore a number of strategic options.

By becoming part of Accenture, Soben aims to realise its vision of disrupting the construction consultancy marketplace and to offer opportunities for its people to grow their career. Bamburgh Capital oversaw all aspects of the negotiation with Accenture and the subsequent fast paced due diligence. Bamburgh Capital contributed to establishing and delivering a deal structure which balanced value for its client and long-term success for both Soben’s team and Accenture.

Bamburgh Capital was able to call upon the unique skills and capabilities of their associates at growth strategy consultancy twisted loop in delivering this transaction for their client, utilising, twisted loop’s deep sector knowledge, AI and data approaches.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Completion of the acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions.
